Taking the Care from Scare!
Our love for Halloween and decorating started off small in 2013. The very first year we had only a handful of kids, which drove us to go bigger, and our original four core houses have continued to grow. Each year members of the community expressed their love for what we were doing and offered money, but as we had all agreed we wouldn’t take any donations as this was something we were each passionate about doing. This generosity of the community inspired us to choose a charity, since we have chosen a local nonprofit charity that we could help impact financially. The first year we were able to raise roughly $7,000, the second year we raised over $17,000 in the month of October while simultaneously hosting a food drive. It is truly amazing what you can achieve when you come together as a community.
This year we are raising money for KnowResolve, a Macomb County based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting mental health and preventing youth suicide through outreach, advocacy and eduction. Your donations support programming for local schools, teens, and survivors of suicide loss.
